Open House at Shadow Ridge Independent Study School is August 29th from 5 to 6 PM. This event is open to the public -- Shadow Ridge School offers K-12 students a convenient way to take blended classes at their own pace within the limits of attendance requirements. The program creates a bridge between the school and the community, it provides alternatives for students to achieve academic mastery, and maintains a focus on educational equity. The Shadow Ridge program also encourages student resourcefulness as well as facilitating a more active and responsive student participation in the education process. Join us on a journey as we impact the future.

Hesperia Unified School District is pleased to announce that we will be using the Raptor Visitor Management System in all of our schools as part of our campus safety programs for students and faculty. All visitors, volunteers, and visiting staff will be asked to present a government-issued ID, such as a Driver’s License, state ID, etc. The Raptor system only checks the visitor's name and date of birth for comparison with a national database of registered sex offenders. No other data from the ID is gathered or recorded. The system is not connected to any other database such as the Department of Motor Vehicles, and information is not shared with any outside agency. This implementation will help increase the efficiency in our offices, allowing District-approved volunteers to spend their valuable time in classrooms instead of in the front office. In an effort to improve the educational experience at Shadow Ridge and to allow more individualized student access, Shadow Ridge School is starting an AM and PM session for all students grades 7-12. AM session: 8:00 am - 10:55 am PM session: 11:30 am - 2:00 pm PM Wednesday session: 11:30 am – 1:00pm The new schedule for will be in effect Monday, March 4th for grades 9-12 and Monday March 25th for grades 7-8. Please contact the office or your homeroom teacher for further information.

Hesperia Unified School District will be closed on February 18, 2019 in observance of Presidents Day. Classes resume on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. Please have a safe three day weekend!
