Hello Class of 2021 graduates. We wanted to remind you of our Cap & Gown Distribution Event happening next Wed, 4/28 at 12:30pm here at Shadow Ridge. Graduates are invited to come and pick up their caps and gowns and their senior swag bags. We will also have a photo background set up with various props where students are welcome to put on their caps and gowns, grab some props, and Mrs. Jacobs, our resident photographer, will be taking photos.
Some of these photos will be a part of our Senior Memory Night, which will be held on May 11th at 5:00pm. This will be a virtual event and your homeroom teachers should have been asking for your contributions for this event.
Finally, our graduation ceremony will be held at Oak Hills HS football stadium at 11:00am on May 28th. Each graduate will be receiving 6 tickets which will be distributed in the coming weeks as soon as we receive them. There will be a MANDATORY graduation practice on May 27th at OHHS stadium, time is TBD. Looking forward to celebrating with you all!

Exciting news from Victor Valley College for our seniors!
VVC is announcing a major initiative to help the Class of 2021. The college has set aside enough funds to make sure that every senior that wants to go to VVC starting next fall will not have to pay a dime. The students will be required to go through our BRIDGE program and complete the normal steps of applying, FAFSA, orientation, self-placement for math and English, and have an educational plan done by their high school BRIDGE Counselor. In return, every BRIDGE senior will receive a $1,000 in vouchers at the Rams Bookstore ($500 for fall and $500 for spring of next year) and will have all their fees, including a parking pass and bus pass paid for. Most of the students will qualify for free tuition under the California Promise but if they complete the FAFSA and do not qualify the college will cover their tuition. VVC believes this is a great opportunity to help a group of students that have had a tough time this year and to give something positive back to our High Desert families.
Seniors have 45 days before priority registration for BRIDGE seniors begins at VVC. Please contact Mrs. Harrie ASAP here https://www.signupgenius.com/g...if you need help with the VVC BRIDGE Application Process.

As Covid rates in the county decline, we are excited to be nearing the “red tier,” which will permit us to bring our grade 7-12 students on campus in a hybrid model for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. To accomplish hybrid, we need all families to please complete the SRS Questionnaire for Reopening and WASC once for each secondary (grade 7-12) student in your household that attends SRS by Thursday (3/11/21) at noon. Please complete our Shadow Ridge Survey even though you may have already completed the district questionnaire.
